The Charles Wood Family Foundation is focused on enriching the education of youth in Solano County.
While traditional Scouting activities like camping, hiking, fishing and leadership development remain foundational,
the program also includes STEM, environmental studies, physical education, financial literacy, personal and public safety, and community service.

Special Cub Scout Pack events include: Pinewood Derby, Raingutter Regatta, Rocket Derby, Bear Carnival, Blue & Gold Celebration, Family Camping
Community service: 4th of July and Veteran's day parades, Veteran's Memorial services, coastal creek cleanup, Christmas tree recycling, Scouting for Food can food drive, Ball Metal Car show for schools, Senior Center visits
Camping: Cubs have so many opportunities to go camping every year locally and throughout California.Â
Hiking and Cycling: throughout the Bay Area
Shooting Sports: Cubs develop skills in BB Guns, Archery and Wrist Rockets (slingshots)
Fishing: basic fishing skills to fly fishing
Aquatics: swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, sailing and canoeing
Emergency Preparedness: basic first aid, family and group emergency plans, 911 protocols
